With so many expectations being thrown at teachers from all directions, sometimes we can’t see the wood for the trees! This sessions explores the essential ingredients of a great lesson, and (perhaps more importantly) the essential ingredients of a great teacher. We will look at what teachers, pupils, and experts say, and distil it down to a few ingredients. We will focus on science, but most of these strategies may be applied to any subject, and any age-group.
Berrymede Junior School is an outstanding school which has been awarded the GPU education for Excellence 2013.
